Yi (Isabel) Xu has extensive experience in commercial litigation, corporate law, and business immigration matters. She represented Chinese EB5 clients before the Delaware Bankruptcy Court for secured creditor status claims and reached a settlement of more than $31 million. Ms. Xu regularly drafts commercial contracts, corporate operating agreements, and employment agreements. Additionally, she prepares corporate filings with state and federal agencies for corporate registration, annual reports, tax exemption, religious exemption certification, and other corporate-related matters.

Ms. Xu specializes in business immigration before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. She has worked with corporate and individual clients on immigration and US citizen applications, including I-9 compliance cases, employment-based immigration cases (such as employer-sponsored EB2 and EB3 cases), EB5 investment immigration cases, and EB5 Regional Center application cases. She has also worked with corporate and individual clients on non-immigration visa and legal status matters, including EAD work permit applications, TN and TD status applications and compliance, L1a and L1b applications for foreign companies’ new and existing offices, including US subsidiary business plan drafting and work visa compliance, H1b non-exempted lottery visa and RFE processes, H1b visa transfer, H1b work visa compliance, J1 trainee cases with US Department of State designated entities’ authorization process, F1 student visa consultation, F1 visa compliance, providing consular interview preparation services to the above NIV visa category clients, providing legal services for the above NIV visa category holders’ family derivatives’ cases, USCIS Info pass cases, and FOIA investigations for visa and individual criminal record issues. Additionally, Ms. Xu helps clients on Maryland SIJS custody cases and subsequent immigration court removal proceedings.
