Ed Garcia focuses on electrical Patent Prosecution in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including appeals and petitions.

Ed Garcia was a U.S. Patent Examiner (semiconductors) and earned three engineering degrees (BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Chemical Engineering, and MS in Nuclear Engineering).

This rare combination of Electrical and Chemical degrees was particularly useful for Panasonic semiconductors and Makita batteries.

Before becoming a Patent Examiner, Ed Garcia researched at : Watlow Electric Lab, Idaho National Engineering Lab (INEL), and Kyoto University Nuclear Lab.

After becoming a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney, Ed Garcia worked for several U.S. law firms, for a Japanese law firm, and then for Denso (in Nagoya, Japan). While working in Japan for 5 years, Ed Garcia published 25 educational videos on patent prosecution.

For fun, Ed Garcia was the technical advisor for an electric car that won first place in efficiency and won first place in speed at a Clean Air Vehicle Association (CAVA) competition.
